Local artist Maureen Gaffney-Wolfson along with the Cordasco family—Kevin Sr., Cade and Melodie were on hand in the Children’s Library to honor Kevin Cordasco Jr. who passed away in March of 2013 after a difficult battle with cancer.

Kevin, the courageous young man, was named “Honorary Calabasas Mayor” in January 2013, and his memory will live on in the hearts and minds of all that were lucky enough to havemeet him. And now his portrait will be in the library for years to come.

In memory of Kevin, Calabasas resident Beth Barber donated 60 children’s books to the library. Also a representative for State Senator Fran Pavley presented the Cordasco family a certificate of recognition.
